By using FunStudyCards, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. These terms govern your access to and use of the FunStudyCards website, dashboard, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"), whether you're browsing public collections, creating your own, or taking quizzes. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use FunStudyCards. We may update these terms from time to time, as described in Section 9 below.

1. User Responsibilities

By creating an account and using FunStudyCards, you agree to:

• Use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
• Not copy, plagiarize, or republish other users' flashcard collections as your own.
• Not harass, abuse, or harm other users of the platform.
• Respect the intellectual property rights of others in any content you upload.
• Provide accurate information when creating your account.

2. Collection & Card Limits

To keep FunStudyCards fast and fair for everyone, each account is subject to the following limits:

• A maximum of 5 collections (decks) per account.
• A maximum of 250 flashcards total per account.

Attempting to circumvent these limits — for example, through automated account creation or scripted content uploads — is a violation of these terms and may result in content or account removal.

3. Content Rules

Content you create or upload to FunStudyCards must not contain any of the following:

• Hate speech, harassment, or content that promotes discrimination or violence.
• Adult or sexually explicit material, or other content inappropriate for a general audience.
• Spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional content unrelated to studying.
• Malware, viruses, or any code or links intended to harm users or systems.
• Plagiarized material — content should be your own original work or material you have the right to use.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these rules and to suspend or terminate accounts responsible for repeated or serious violations. If you come across a collection that you believe violates these rules, please report it to us through the contact form so we can review it promptly.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the flashcard collections and cards you create. By publishing a collection on FunStudyCards, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content to other users through the service, solely for the purpose of operating FunStudyCards's study and browsing features.

FunStudyCards, its logo, design, and underlying software are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the platform itself without our written permission.

5. Disclaimer

FunStudyCards is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and we do not guarantee any particular study outcome, grade, or exam result from using FunStudyCards. We are not liable for any loss of data, including flashcard collections or study progress, though we take reasonable measures to prevent it. We are not responsible for the accuracy, quality, or legality of content created by other users, including collections you may study or browse that were published by third parties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FunStudyCards and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

6. Public Collections & Fair Use

Some collections on FunStudyCards are visible to other users through Browse. When you publish a collection publicly, you're allowing other users to view and study it — but that doesn't transfer ownership, and it doesn't give anyone the right to republish it elsewhere as their own work. If you'd rather keep a collection private, you can choose to do so when you create or edit it.

We may feature, highlight, or recommend public collections within the app to help other learners discover useful material. We don't run ads inside collections themselves, and we don't modify the educational content you write.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service, including the content rules or collection limits described above. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, whether by you or by us, your data — including collections, cards, and study history — will be deleted from our systems, subject to any backups retained for a limited period for security and recovery purposes.

8. Governing Law & Severability

These terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where FunStudyCards operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FunStudyCards regarding your use of the Service.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time to reflect changes to our service or for legal reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and we will make reasonable efforts to notify users of major changes, such as through an in-app notice or email. Continued use of FunStudyCards after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with a change, your only recourse is to stop using the Service and, if you wish, delete your account.
